In a shocking turn of events, the San Antonio Spurs were denied entry to the American Airlines Center for their scheduled game against the Dallas Mavericks last night. The reason? Their Spurs uniforms were deemed "too provocative" for Mavs fans.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban defended the decision, stating, "We want to create a safe and comfortable environment for our fans. Seeing opposing team colors could trigger negative emotions and potentially lead to conflict."

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, visibly frustrated, told reporters, "This is ridiculous. Mark and I are practically soulmates. We both hate the right people. Since when did wearing your team's uniform become more controversial than our shared political views?"

The Spurs players were offered the option to change into neutral-colored practice jerseys, but they refused on principle. "We're the San Antonio Spurs. We wear silver and black. We'd opt for 'shirts vs skins" before wearing neutral colors," said veteran guard Dejounte Murray.

Cuban suggested that in the future, visiting teams should consider wearing "less offensive" attire, such as beige jumpsuits or Mavericks-approved gear. He added, "We're just trying to protect our fans from the emotional distress of seeing rival colors in their home arena."

The NBA league office has yet to comment on the situation, but sources say they are considering implementing a new "uniform sensitivity" policy for all arenas.

As news of the incident spread, Mavericks season ticket holder Brad Thompson expressed his relief: "I'm glad Mr. Cuban is looking out for us. I don't know how I would have coped with seeing those Spurs uniforms. It's just too much to handle."
